First-principles prediction of high oxygen-ion conductivity in trilanthanide gallates Ln3GaO6 [PDF]

open access: yesScience and Technology of Advanced Materials, 2019
We systematically investigated trilanthanide gallates (Ln3GaO6) with the space group Cmc21 as oxygen-ion conductors using first-principles calculations.

Defect structures and migration mechanisms in oxide pyrochlores [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
Using computer simulation techniques the defect structure and oxygen ion migration mechanism of oxide pyrochlores (eg. Gd2Zr2O7) was investigated in order to explain the decreased activation enthalpy for oxygen ion conductivity as a function of order ...

Proton and Oxygen-Ion Conductivities of Hexagonal Perovskite Ba5In2Al2ZrO13

open access: yesMaterials, 2022
The hexagonal perovskite Ba5In2Al2ZrO13 and In3+-doped phase Ba5In2.1Al2Zr0.9O12.95 were prepared by the solid-state synthesis method. The introduction of indium in the Zr-sublattice was accompanied by an increase in the unit cell parameters: a = 5.967 Å, c = 24.006 Å vs. a = 5.970 Å, c = 24.011 Å for doped phase (space group of P63/mmc).

Coulomb explosion sputtering of selectively oxidized Si [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We have studied multiply charged Arq+ ion induced potential sputtering of a unique system comprising of coexisting Silicon and Silicon oxide surfaces. Such surfaces are produced by oblique angle oxygen ion bombardment on Si(100), where ripple structures ...

The effect of dual substitution of Na and Al on ionic conductivity of Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 ceramics

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2018
The Na and Al dual substitution Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 samples were synthesized by the conventional solid-state reaction method. The oxygen ion conductivity and migration in the Na0.54Bi0.46Ti1−xAlxO2.96−x/2 (x = 0.02, 0.04, 0.06 and 0.08) samples were ...

Synthesis, structure and electrical properties of Li+-doped pyrochlore Gd2Zr2O7

open access: yesChimica Techno Acta, 2020
The pyrochlore Gd1.55Li0.45Zr2O6.55 was prepared by the solution and solid-state methods. The introduction of lithium in the Gd-sublattice led to decrease in the lattice parameter a = 10.4830(8) Å in comparison with Gd2Zr2O7 (a =10.5346(2) Å). Monitoring

Oxide Ion Conductivity of Mechanically produced Calcia Stabilised Zirconia for Oxygen Sensing Applications [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials Research, 2022
Cryo-milling was used to make calcia stabilized zirconia (CSZ) powders with 9 mol%, 12 mol%, and 15 mol% of calcia. Powder X-ray diffraction was done to examine the phase growth in prepared powders over the course of 80h of mechanical alloying (MA) in ...

Enhancement of the conductivity of Ba2In2O5 through phosphate doping [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper, we demonstrate the successful incorporation of phosphate into Ba2In2O5, which leads to the conversion from an orthorhombic to a cubic unit cell.

Proton and Oxygen Ionic Conductivity of Doped Ceria- Carbonate Composite by Modified Wagner Polarization

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2012
The impressive ionic conductivity and tunable conduction behaviors have made the ceria-carbonate composite an attractive electrolyte for low temperature ceramic fuel cells. However, the conduction mechanism is not yet well studied.
