Plateau Waves of Intracranial Pressure and Partial Pressure of Cerebral Oxygen

2016
This study investigates 55 intracranial pressure (ICP) plateau waves recorded in 20 patients after severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) with a focus on a moving correlation coefficient between mean arterial pressure (ABP) and ICP, called PRx, which serves as a marker of cerebrovascular reactivity, and a moving correlation coefficient between ABP and ...

An oxygen partial pressure sensor

Medical Electronics & Biological Engineering, 1963
The oxygen partial pressure of the gas mixture man breathes is an important measurement. A sensor is described which makes use of the reaction of oxygen with hydrogen in the presence of catalytic platinum to produce water and electrical energy. The voltage output is a direct function of the oxygen partial pressure.

Prediction of arterial partial pressure of oxygen with pulse oxygen saturation measurements

The Journal of Pediatrics, 1998
We studied 22 neonates with gestational ages from 26 to 40 weeks to determine how accurately pulse oxygen saturation (SpO2) could predict arterial partial pressure of oxygen (PaO2) and how much time and effort would be required to achieve and maintain a desired SpO2 value.SpO2 was maintained at 90%, 92%, 94%, 96%, and 98% by adjustment of FiO2.
