Progress and Application of Multifunctional Hydrogel in Radioactive Skin Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This review examines healing challenges in radiation‐wound injuries, where ionizing radiation impairs immune and tissue repair processes. Hydrogels, with their biocompatibility, antimicrobial properties, and drug delivery capabilities, present a transformative solution. It compares hydrogel efficacy in radiation‐induced versus common wounds, highlights

Oxygen Stoichiometry in Co-1212, Co-1222 and Co-1232 of Homologous Series Co-12s2 of Category-B Layered Copper Oxides [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2002
Here results of a systematic study on oxygen stoichiometry are reported for the first three members of the novel CoSr2(Y,Ce)sCu2O5+2s or Co-12s2 homologous series, i.e. Co-1212, Co-1222 and Co-1232 phases with a SrO-CoO1-SrO-CuO2-(Y,Ce)-[O2-(Y,Ce)]s-1-CuO2 layered structure.

Understanding the Role of Copper Oxidation State on a TiO2/ZSM‐5 Catalyst for Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction to Methanol

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The influence of copper oxidation states on TiO₂/ZSM‐5 catalysts is investigated for photocatalytic CO2 reduction to methanol. A Cuδ⁺‐modified Ti₂/ZSM‐5 catalyst (CTZ‐1) exhibits superior activity due to enhanced electronhole separation, the presence of Ti3⁺, and a core–shell structure.

Antifouling Surface‐Attached Hydrogel Nanocoatings Redefined: Green Solvent‐Based, Degradable, and High‐Performance Protection Against Foulants

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
An ultrathin surface‐attached hydrogel coating is introduced that, unlike the best antifouling coatings so far, consists of hydrophilic, non‐charged, green solvent‐based monomers. It effectively renders the surfaces of medical devices stealth toward proteins, a clinical strain of MRSA and blood while offering on‐demand degradability to regenerate the ...

Making Liquid Oxygen [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Ed. 45 221 (2010), 2010
In this article I explain in detail a method for making small amounts of liquid oxygen in the classroom if there is no access to a cylinder of compressed oxygen gas. I also discuss two methods for identifying the fact that it is liquid oxygen as opposed to liquid nitrogen.

Solution‐Processable Polymer Nanocomposites for Electromagnetic Interference Shielding

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This review introduces scalable strategies for fabricating solution‐processable polymer nanocomposites with improved electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding performance. It compares three fabrication methods, including solution blending, in situ polymerization, and Pickering emulsion polymerization, and highlights their respective advantages in ...
