Effect of HBr on Explosion Limits of Stoichiometric Hydrogen‐oxygen Mixture

open access: yesInternational Journal of Chemical Kinetics, Volume 58, Issue 9, Page 646-657, September 2026.
ABSTRACT This work, based on numerical simulations, discusses the effect of HBr as an inhibitor on the explosion limit of stoichiometric hydrogen‐oxygen gas mixture in a closed spherical vessel. The numerical simulation solves the complete governing equations for mass, momentum, species and energy.

Enhancing Bubble Removal in Geometry‐Optimized Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 28, Issue 14, 22 July 2026.
3D‐printed lattice electrodes outperform stochastic foams in alkaline water electrolysis despite 20%–25% lower surface area. Straight flow channels generate Venturi‐like bubble entrainment, suppressing gas accumulation that renders foam interiors electrochemically inactive.

H2‐Driven Whole‐Cell Conversion of Diamines to N‐Heterocycles by Recombinant Cupriavidus necator

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 18, Issue 7, 14 April 2026.
A Cupriavidus necator chassis couples a diamine oxidase–imine reductase cascade with an H2‐driven soluble hydrogenase cofactor module to convert linear diamines into saturated N‐heterocycles in vivo, using H2 as the sole source of reducing power.

Composite dilution effect of exhaust gas recirculation and lean-burn on combustion and emissions of oxyhydrogen/bio-isopropanol/gasoline ternary fuel engine

open access: yesFrontiers in Energy Research
The complementary utilization of oxyhydrogen and bio-isopropanol in carbon-neutral fuel engines can effectively enhance power output and combustion stability. However, oxyhydrogen blended combustion results in an increase in NOx emissions.

REDUCTION OF CARBON DIOXIDE COUPLED WITH THE OXYHYDROGEN REACTION IN ALGAE [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of General Physiology, 1942
1. Unicellular algae possessing a hydrogenase system (Scenedesmus and other species), and having been adapted by anaerobic incubation to the hydrogen metabolism, reduce oxygen to water according to the equation O2 + 2H2 → 2H2O. 2. The oxyhydrogen reaction proceeds undisturbed only in the presence of carbon dioxide, which simultaneously ...
