Humidity Ramp Protocols Systematically Underestimate Human Heat Tolerance Limits
Short dwell times in humidity‐ramp protocols (Δt/τ≪1 ${\Delta }t/\tau \mathit{\ll }1$) prevent human core temperature from reaching equilibrium, causing premature inflection points and systematic underestimation of critical environmental limits by ∼3°C–4°C.

Abstract Precast reinforced concrete segmental linings are frequently used in modern tunneling. In these linings, the longitudinal joints typically have a reduced contact cross‐section and thus often govern the design, particularly in tunnels under high hydrostatic pressure or crossing squeezing or swelling ground with correspondingly high ...

Abstract Grouted sleeve connectors (GSCs) are widely used in precast/prefabricated concrete structures. To ensure force transfer, connectors are often overdesigned in length. This practice has an unintended consequence of reducing the plastic deformation capacity of the connection region and hence the displacement ductility of the precast structure as ...

Abstract Graph neural networks (GNNs) have revolutionised the processing of information by facilitating the transmission of messages between graph nodes. Graph neural networks operate on graph‐structured data, which makes them suitable for a wide variety of computer vision problems, such as link prediction, node classification, and graph classification.

Who Moves First? Price Discovery by Institutional and Retail Investors
ABSTRACT This paper uses 77 million Finnish trades, classified as foreign institutional or domestic retail, to examine the drivers of price discovery. The results show that foreign institutional investors dominate price discovery overall, including during the Global Financial Crisis. Their informational advantage is explained by buy‐ and sell‐initiated
