Adherence to Treatment in Allergic Rhinitis During the Pollen Season in Europe: A MASK‐air Study
In a study assessing mobile health data, (i) adherence to rhinitis medication was highest for oral antihistamines and lowest for azelastine‐fluticasone, (ii) in weeks of partial adherence, azelastine‐fluticasone was associated with lower levels of reported rhinitis symptoms than other medication classes.

ABSTRACT Background The lack of validated and sensitive clinical endpoints remains a major challenge in the design of gene therapy trials for inherited retinal dystrophies (IRDs). This prospective longitudinal cohort study describes the natural disease progression of IRDs caused by pathogenic mutations in the Crumbs homologue 1 (CRB1) gene, and ...

ABSTRACT To assess the 5‐year dimensional stability of buccal hard‐tissues following guided bone regeneration (GBR) of peri‐implant dehiscence defects using deproteinized bovine bone mineral (DBBM) blocks or particulate. Methods Patients requiring single‐tooth implants and presenting a buccal dehiscence defect (≥ 3 mm) at implant placement were ...

ABSTRACT Aims Type 2 diabetes drives the progression of metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatohepatitis (MASH). We evaluated whether antidiabetic therapy, specifically adding sodium–glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor to a glucagon‐like peptide‐1 receptor agonist (GLP‐1RA), improves liver histology in adults with biopsy‐proven MASH and type 2 ...

Dung beetles suppressed cumulative methane flux from cattle dung by 85% and reduced total greenhouse gas emissions by 18%. Beetle activity accelerated initial CO2 release but did not alter total cumulative flux. N2O and NH3 fluxes were transient and not consistently driven by beetle presence.

Equine eyelid reconstruction by semi‐circular skin flap blepharoplasty
Summary Reconstructive surgeries of the equine eyelid carry significant challenges for the equine surgeon, due to the poorly mobile and tightly adhered facial skin in this species. Preservation of lid function is an essential surgical consideration in order to maintain protection of the globe and cornea and to provide ocular comfort to the case ...

ABSTRACT Knowing the relationship between catch per unit effort (CPUE) and population density is crucial for the management of recreational fisheries. We conducted standardized angling for pike in 16 lakes (3.4–22.1 ha) to test whether lure type, color, and pike density affect CPUE and the size of captured fish.

ABSTRACT Habitat restoration may protect brown trout (Salmo trutta) populations from loss of genetic diversity by increasing environmental carrying capacity and, consequently, population size. However, the accompanying release of hatchery‐reared fish may threaten the genetic integrity of native populations through introgression.
