Metal–Organic Frameworks for Gaseous Pollutant Management: From Capture to Neutralization and Reutilization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review maps how MOFs can manage hazardous gases by combining adsorption, neutralization, and reutilization, enabling sustainable air‐pollution control. Covering chemical warfare agent simulants, SO2, NOx, NH3, H2S, and volatile organic compounds, it highlights structure‐guided strategies that boost selectivity, water tolerance, and cycling ...

Research progress on the role and mechanism of circadian clock gene PER1 in the occurrence and development of multiple diseases

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
Circadian rhythm, an inherent 24-hour periodic rhythm in organisms, is regulated by circadian clock genes. As a key component of the transcription-translation feedback loop, the core circadian gene period (PER) 1, not only maintains circadian rhythm ...

In‐Situ Solution Complexation for n‐Type Surface‐Energetics Reconstruction in 2.0 eV Ultra‐Wide‐Bandgap Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A reactive in situ solution complexation strategy reconstructs the surface of 2.0 eV ultra‐wide‐bandgap perovskites via proton transfer. This chemical modulation eliminates metallic defects and induces a degenerate‐like n‐type surface, establishing an Ohmic tunneling contact.

Measurement report: High contribution of N2O5 uptake to particulate nitrate formation in NO2-limited urban areas [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Chemistry and Physics
Particulate nitrate (pNO3-) is a major component of fine particles in Chinese urban areas. However, the relative contributions of pNO3- formation pathways in urban areas remain poorly quantified, particularly under the NO2-limited regime that governs its

Survival time after marked reduction in oral intake in terminally ill noncancer patients: A retrospective study

open access: yesJournal of General and Family Medicine, 2020
Background The prediction of short‐term survival is important for noncancer patients and their families. Although a markedly reduced oral intake by cancer patients suggests a poor prognosis, the survival times of noncancer patients after its onset remain

Investigation of Halogen Substitution Effects in π‐Conjugated Organic Ligands of Chiral Hybrid Perovskites on Their Chiroptical Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The role of novel thiophene‐based ligands with halogen substitutions in enhancing the chiroptical and optoelectronic properties of 2D chiral HOIPs has been investigated. By tailoring ligand design, enhanced CD and CPL properties are achieved, with improved CPL discrimination in photodetectors.

The Circadian Rhythm of Itching among 241 Adults with Atopic Dermatitis: A Cross-sectional Study

open access: yesActa Dermato-Venereologica
The pattern of itching in patients with atopic dermatitis has not been systematically studied. Therefore, this study aimed to assess the pattern of itching in adults with atopic dermatitis using questionnaires to assess for a circadian rhythm of itching ...

Biocompatible but Antibacterial Mechanism of Graphene Oxide for Sustainable Antibiotics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Graphene oxide (GO) exhibits selective antibacterial activity through specific interactions between its oxygen functional groups and bacterial membrane phospholipid POPG, causing membrane destabilization while maintaining biocompatibility. Model membrane studies and infected wound models in mice and pigs demonstrate effective bacterial suppression and ...
