Efficiency of ozone production by pulsed positive corona discharge in synthetic air
Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 2002We have studied the efficiency of ozone production by pulsed positive corona discharge in coaxial wire-cylinder geometry at atmospheric pressure. A corona discharge was generated by short (~150 ns) high voltage pulses applied between a silver coated copper wire anode and stainless steel cylinder cathode in synthetic air.

Ozone Production Efficiency in Savanna and Forested Areas during the EXPRESSO Experiment
Journal of Atmospheric Chemistry, 2001NO, NOx ,N Oy and O3 have been measured during the airborne EXPRESSO experiment, November 96, which took place near Bangui (Central Africa) at the beginning of the dry season. This period corresponds to an intense burning activity. Chemical and photochemical characteristics of the planetary boundary layer, which corresponds most of the time to the ...

Study on the Efficient Production of Ozone Water by a Rotating Packed Bed
Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, 2019This work employed a rotating packed bed (RPB) as an ozone contactor to produce ozone water. The effects of various operating conditions including the rotational speed of RPB, the gas and liquid vo...

Ozone yields and production efficiencies in a large power plant plume
Atmospheric Environment, 2003Abstract The plume of Tennessee Valley Authority's coal-fired Cumberland power plant was sampled during four different days in the summer of 1998 and 1999 from an instrumented helicopter. The extent of formation of ozone and various secondary NO y species in the plume was measured and the rates of loss processes estimated.

Ozone Production Efficiency in Atmospheric Dielectric Barrier Discharge of Oxygen/Rare-Gas Mixture
Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 2003We investigated the rare-gas-content dependence of ozone production efficiency for various gaps in oxygen/rare-gas-mixture barrier discharges. The production efficiency measured for a discharge gap shorter than 1.0 mm decreased with the increase in rare-gas content, while the efficiencies in the cases of Ne and Ar mixtures for a gap of 3 mm gradually ...

Highly Efficient and Long-Lifetime Ozone Water Production System Realized Using a Felt Separator
Journal of The Electrochemical Society, 2009The efficiency of ozone production using a conventional polymer electrolyte system with Pt electrodes decreased from 15 to 2% after operating for 100 h. The degradation of the system was caused by Pt black particles concentrated on the cathode side of the Nafion 117 membrane.

Oxidized nitrogen and ozone production efficiencies in the springtime free troposphere over the Alps
Journal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, 2000The Free Tropospheric Experiment (FREETEX’98) was conducted at the Jungfraujoch Observatory in the Swiss Alps (3580 in above sea level) during the well‐documented spring maximum in ozone. In spring the Jungfraujoch frequently lies in the free troposphere but can also be influenced by air from the planetary boundary layer.

The ozone production efficiency of a planar-disk-type barrier discharge of oxygen was investigated using a time-modulated power supply. The efficiency obtained using the time-modulated power supply was higher than that obtained using a continuous-wave power supply.

[Observational study of ozone production efficiency at the Shangdianzi regional background station].
Huan jing ke xue= Huanjing kexue, 2011Ambient O3, NOx, NOy, and CO were measured at the Shangdianzi regional background station from 26 March to 9 October 2008, and VOCs samples were taken and analyzed. This paper uses the data to obtain the ozone production efficiency (OPE) at Shangdianzi and studies the relationship of OPE with NO, and VOCs. In addition, the potential impact from the dry

Ozone in the Eastern United States: Production Efficiency Variability Over Time and Between Sources
2019The eastern United States has seen dramatic air pollution emissions reductions since the turn of the century. These emissions reductions have in turn been linked to widespread reductions in ozone (O3)—between 2000 and 2016, the US EPA reports a reduction in 4th highest mean daily annual 8-hr O3 of 15% (from 82.3 to 69.6 ppb) across 206 sites nationwide.
