Ad maiorem Dei gloriam: Numeracy levels in the Guarani Jesuit missions
The Economic History Review, Volume 76, Issue 1, Page 87-117, February 2023., 2023 Abstract This work provides data on human capital for the Guarani Jesuit missions during the eighteenth century. Based on the age heaping methodology, the results of a large sample (over 3600 observations) suggest that the knowledge of numerical skills in these missions was exceptional.

Long‐term and year‐to‐year stability and its drivers in a Mediterranean grassland
Journal of Ecology, Volume 110, Issue 5, Page 1174-1188, May 2022., 2022 This 14‐year study of a species‐rich semi‐natural Mediterranean grassland shows that stability increases with richness, asynchrony and conservative strategies. Fertilization decreases stability by promoting long‐term trends in species composition, favouring competitive species and decreasing richness.
