Simulación de Materiales Naturales mediante Texturas Volumétricas Procedurales [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
El objetivo de este proyecto es diseñar e implementar un programa de shader capaz de generar una textura volumétrica que simula la madera del tronco de los árboles.

DynG: a dynamic scaling factor for thermographic stomatal conductance estimation under changing environmental conditions

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 248, Issue 4, Page 2160-2173, November 2025.
Summary Thermal imaging is a key plant phenotyping and monitoring technique but faces major bottlenecks in accurately and efficiently inferring stomatal conductance (gsw) from leaf temperature. The conductance index (Ig) was previously proposed to estimate gsw from thermography by linking temperature differences between real and artificial leaves (ALs)

Effect of primate protection on threatened and endemic vertebrates, plants, ecosystem services, and future climate refugia

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 39, Issue 5, October 2025.
Abstract Primates, 69% of which are threatened with extinction, are the third most specious order of mammals. We used primates as model taxa to examine the umbrella effects of primates on ecosystem services and the protection of other vertebrates and seed plants in Yunnan Province, China.

Real-time imaging of methane gas leaks using a single-pixel camera.

open access: yesOptics Express, 2017
We demonstrate a camera which can image methane gas at video rates, using only a single-pixel detector and structured illumination. The light source is an infrared laser diode operating at 1.651μm tuned to an absorption line of methane gas.

Guard‐cell expression of abscisic acid receptors for engineering water‐use‐efficient plants without trade‐offs in growth

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 248, Issue 2, Page 690-705, October 2025.
Summary Abscisic acid (ABA) induces stomatal closure, reducing transpirational water loss, a critical adaptation for agriculture under drought. However, ABA is often viewed cautiously as stomatal closure limits CO2 uptake for photosynthesis and growth.

X‐ray micro‐CT imaging to study foliar water uptake mechanisms in plants with contrasting leaf topography

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 248, Issue 2, Page 656-671, October 2025.
Summary Formation of an aqueous continuum from the leaf surface to the sub‐stomatal cavity is a key process, affecting the foliar entry of solutes, particles, and pathogens. However, the factors controlling the transition from a water droplet to the formation of a continuous water film remain poorly understood.

Emerging trend of increasing spring frost damage for beech at higher elevations in the Jura Mountains: evidence from tree‐ring data

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 248, Issue 2, Page 600-614, October 2025.
Summary Late spring frost (LSF) severely impacts tree growth and forest productivity, with global warming potentially altering LSF risk due to asymmetric changes in vegetation onset and frost timing. However, reconstructing past frost regimes with climatic and phenological data remains challenging. Using phenological models, high‐resolution climate and
