Surface modification with P-aminohippuric acid on biogenic apatite (fish bones) particles [PDF]

open access: greenMarine Science and Technology Bulletin, 2014
The aim of this study with fish bones as a waste in fish processing is to investigate whether they can provide more efficient and multi-functional materials by chemical modification.

Pharmacokinetics of p-Aminohippuric Acid and Inulin in Rabbits with Aristolochic Acid Nephropathy [PDF]

open access: goldAdvances in Pharmacological Sciences, 2011
The characteristics of aristolochic acid nephropathy (AAN) are interstitial fibrosis and atrophy of the proximal tubules, but with no change in glomeruli.

A combined pig model to determine the net absorption of volatile fatty acids in the large intestine under different levels of crude fiber

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, 2023
Background This study aimed to develop a combined model to quantify the net absorption of volatile fatty acids (VFA) in the large intestine (LI) of pigs. Methods Fifteen female growing pigs (Duroc × Large White × Landrace) were ranked by body weight (30 ±

System Identification of the Low-Dose Kinetics of p-Aminohippuric Acid [PDF]

open access: greencclm, 1995
The renal clearance of p-aminohippuric acid, due to tubular secretion in addition to glomerular filtration, can only be determined by kinetic experiments. Maximal information can be gained from observed temporal marker concentration profiles by fitting dynamic mathematical models of the processes involved, such as absorption, distribution, and ...

Active Mammary Excretion of N4-Acetylated p-Aminohippuric Acid*) [PDF]

open access: bronzeActa Veterinaria Scandinavica, 1969
Different excretion patterns were observed for p-amino- hippuric acid and its acetylated metabolite in mammary excretion experiments in goats and cows. The excretion of p-aminohippuric acid conformed to passive diffusion of the non-protein bound and un-ionized fraction (Rasmussen 1958, 1966) as described by Miller et al. (1967).

Simultaneous Measurement of Glomerular Filtration Rate, Effective Renal Plasma Flow and Tubular Secretion in Different Poultry Species by Single Intravenous Bolus of Iohexol and Para-Aminohippuric Acid [PDF]

open access: yesAnimals, 2020
The aim of the current study was to investigate the simultaneous measurement of plasma p-aminohippuric acid (PAH) clearance as a potential marker to assess effective renal plasma flow (eRPF) and tubular secretion (TS), and the plasma clearance of iohexol

Crystal Structure of Poly(p-Aminohippuric Acid) Produced by Thermal Polymerization.

open access: bronzeSen'i Gakkaishi, 1995
Synthesis of poly (p-aminohippuric acid) (PPAHA) was carried out using two different polymerization techniques: thin-film melt-polymerization and single-crystal thermal-polycondensation. Crystal structure and morphology of PPAHA were examined by means of the electron microscopy. Lamellar crystals were observed on the thin-film melt-polymerized specimen.

The thermal solid state polycondensation of p-aminohippuric acid single crystal.

open access: bronzeSen'i Gakkaishi, 1992
The crystal of p-aminohippuric acid was polymerized in the solid state by annealing at a temperature below its melting point. The reaction was carried out on the p-aminohippuric acid crystal at 170°C for 260 h under reduced pressure. The specimens formed through the thermal solid state polycondensation procedure from original monomer single crystals ...

The distribution of p-aminohippuric acid in rat kidney slices. I. Tubular localization

open access: bronzeKidney International, 1973
The distribution of p-aminohippuric acid in rat kidney slices. I. Tubular localization. Tubular localization of tritiated p-aminohippuric acid (PAH) was determined by section freeze-dry autoradiography in rat renal cortical slices in vitro. Autoradiographs were also prepared from tissue after incubation in tritiated alpha-aminoisobutyric acid (AIB ...
