Reversal of P-gp and BCRP-mediated MDR by tariquidar derivatives.
European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 2015With an aim to generate non-toxic, specific and highly potent multidrug resistance (MDR) modulators, a novel series of anthranilic acid amide-substituted tariquidar derivatives were synthesized. The new compounds were evaluated for their cytotoxicity toward normal human colon fibroblasts (CCD18-Co), human gastric epithelial cell line (HFE) and primary ...

Modulation of P-gp expression by lapatinib
Investigational New Drugs, 2010Chemotherapy drug resistance is a major obstacle in the treatment of cancer. It can result from an increase in levels of cellular drug efflux pumps, such as P-glycoprotein (P-gp). Lapatinib, a growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor, is currently in clinical trials for treatment of breast cancer.

Dietary regulation of P-gp function and expression
Expert Opinion on Drug Metabolism & Toxicology, 2009Food-drug interactions have been associated with clinically important pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic changes of a drug. The aim of this paper is to review the regulation of P-glycoprotein (P-gp) by dietary components and to correlate the changes in cellular P-gp function and expression with drug bioavailability.

Generalisation of GPS and P-GPS in network calculus
2012 9th IEEE International Workshop on Factory Communication Systems, 2012GPS is an ideal well known policy designed to share the capacity of a server between the input flows: each flow receives a fractional part, defined by the administrator, of the total server capacity1. It has several practical implementations, like P-GPS. These policies have been defined in the context of a constant-rate server.

Recent Advances in the Development of P-gp Inhibitors
Anti-Cancer Agents in Medicinal Chemistry, 2009During the last decades multidrug resistance (MDR) emerged as main problem in the anti-cancer therapy with cytostatically active agents. Classical as well as recently developed cytostatics develop the phenomenon of loosing activity in former drug-sensitive cells.

TGF‐β1 elevates P‐gp and BCRP in hepatocellular carcinoma through HOTAIR/miR‐145 axis
Biopharmaceutics & drug disposition, 2019Multidrug resistance (MDR) is common in patients and has been linked to transforming growth factor‐β1 (TGF‐β1) and overexpression of drug efflux transporters P‐glycoprotein (P‐gp) and breast cancer resistance protein (BCRP), although the molecular ...
