Intermodal Green p-Hub Median Problem with Incomplete Hub-Network
In the literature, hub-networks have often been modeled such as only one mode is considered for all transportation. Also, the consolidated demand flows are assumed to be transferred directly between each origin-destination hub pairs. The previous assumptions impose restrictions on the practical applications of such hub-networks.

Research on Hub-and-Spoke Transportation Network of China Railway Express
China Railway Express is developing rapidly, but the point-to-point direct organization mode has brought many problems to it. Therefore, this paper proposes to construct a hub-and-spoke network and adopt the “collecting and transportation” organization ...

Allocation Strategies in Hub Networks [PDF]
Cataloged from PDF version of article. In this paper, we study allocation strategies and their effects on total routing costs in hub networks. Given a set of nodes with pairwise traffic demands, the p-hub median problem is the problem of choosing p nodes ...

The design of single allocation incomplete hub networks [PDF]
Cataloged from PDF version of article. The hub location problem deals with finding the location of hub facilities and allocating the demand nodes to these hub facilities so as to effectively route the demand between any origin–destination pair.

The hierarchical hub median problem with single assignment [PDF]
Cataloged from PDF version of article. We study the problem of designing a three level hub network where the top level consists of a complete network connecting the so-called central hubs and the second and third levels are unions of star networks ...

Equity, discrimination and remote policy: Investigating the centralization of remote service delivery in the Northern Territory [PDF]
Two hypotheses have been advanced to explain the spatial patterning of service accessibility. The bureaucratic hypothesis holds that spatial inequalities are unpatterned and result from the application of decisions rules, while the competing political ...
