Remaining Useful Life (RUL) Control of Controlled Systems Under Degradation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Remaining Useful Life (RUL) is the length of time a component or system will operate before it requires repair or replacement. Although significant efforts have been made to estimate RUL accurately, controlling RUL remains challenging. This study introduces a state‐space model‐based approach for designing RUL controllers of controlled systems ...

Frequency Shaping for Improving a Trade‐Off Between Control and Privacy Performance: Beyond Differential Privacy

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In privacy protection of control systems, a trade‐off between control performance and privacy level is often pointed out. Our goal in this paper is to improve this trade‐off by shaping the frequency of noise added for privacy protection when the control objective is to track a reference signal, which is taken as a piece of information whose ...

Initial State Privacy of Nonlinear Systems on Riemannian Manifolds

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this paper, we investigate initial state privacy protection for discrete‐time nonlinear closed systems. By capturing Riemannian geometric structures inherent in such privacy challenges, we refine the concept of differential privacy through the introduction of an initial state adjacency set based on Riemannian distances.

Label‐Free Machine Learning Prediction of Chemotherapy on Tumor Spheroids Using a Microfluidics Droplet Platform

open access: yesSmall Science, EarlyView.
A droplet‐based microfluidic platform is used to form and test drugs on spheroids, from cell line and PDX cells. Images are taken and morphological features of spheroids are used to train a neural network to classify spheroid viability in a label‐free manner.

Strategies for Navigating Magnetic Microrobots in Neurovascular Networks: A Numerical Analysis

open access: yesSmall Science, EarlyView.
Navigation of microrobots within vascular structures is key for targeted drug delivery. This work discusses strategies for navigating microrobots through a patient‐specific neurovascular network using magnetic gradients. These strategies and the equations developed for predicting the required magnetic gradients based on microrobot diameter are ...
