P-phenylenediamine (PPD) is een sterk contactallergeen welke gebruikt wordt in oxidatieve haarverven en kan een ernstig contactallergisch eczeem veroorzaken.Hoewel PPD al jaren bekend staat als sterk contactallergeen, is het exacte mechanisme van sensibilisatie en elicitatie nog altijd niet compleet opgehelderd.
