Which Chromium–Sulfur Compounds Exist as 2D Material?

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
2D chromium sulfides synthesized using molecular beam epitaxy on graphene. Structural characterization reveals two novel 2D materials, Cr2S3‐2D, which lacks a direct bulk counterpart, and Cr223S${\rm Cr}_{2\frac{2}{3}}{\rm S}$4‐2D, a minimum thickness version of Cr5S6. However, attempts to synthesize CrS2 are unsuccessful. Both new 2D phases are stable

P-wave dispersion: a possible warning sign of hypertension in children.

open access: yesMEDICC Review, 2014
INTRODUCTION Hypertension and obesity in adults have been linked to increased EKG P-wave dispersion; the association has been shown in relation to hypertension, left ventricular hypertrophy and atrial enlargement. Though studies in children have linked P-

Single Pair of Weyl Points Evolve From Spin Group‐Protected Nodal Line in Half‐Metallic Ferromagnet V3S4

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A spin group (SG)‐based mechanism is proposed to realize a single pair of Weyl points. PT‐symmetric nodal lines (NLs) persist under T‐breaking, protected by the combination of SG and P symmetry. When considering spin‐orbit coupling, the SG‐protected NL will split into Weyl points, which will also induce anomalous transport phenomena arising from ...

Assessment of the P Wave Dispersion and Duration in Elite Women Basketball Players

open access: yesIndian Pacing and Electrophysiology Journal, 2010
Background: P wave dispersion is an independent predictor of atrial fibrillation. P wave dispersion is associated with inhomogeneous and discontinuous propagation of sinus impulses.

EFFECT OF LEFT ATRIA SIZE ON P-WAVE DISPERSION: A STUDY IN PATIENTS WITH PAROXYSMAL ATRIAL FIBRILLATION

open access: yesARYA Atherosclerosis, 2010
INTRODUCTION: Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AF) is a common arrhythmia encountered in clinical practice. Experimental and human mapping studies have demonstrated that perpetuation of AF is due to the presence of multiple reentrant wavelets

Photoactivation of NV Centers in Diamond via Continuous Wave Laser Illumination of Shallow As‐Implanted Nitrogen

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates an alternative method of creating charge‐stable negatively charged nitrogen vacancy (NV−) centers close to the diamond surface without high‐temperature annealing. By illuminating nitrogen‐implanted regions with a continuous‐wave 405 nm laser, NV− centers are induced, exhibiting electron spin coherence properties suitable for ...
