ABSTRACT Plasmakristall‐4 (PK‐4) is a microgravity complex plasma laboratory operated for 10 years on board the International Space Station. Its main purpose is the particle‐resolved investigation of generic condensed matter phenomena using strongly coupled suspensions of microparticles immersed in low‐pressure gas‐discharge plasmas.

Generalized Beth–Uhlenbeck Entropy Formula From the Φ‐Derivable Approach

ABSTRACT We derive a generalized Beth–Uhlenbeck formula for the entropy of a dense fermion system with strong two‐particle correlations, including scattering states and bound states. We work within the Φ‐derivable approach to the thermodynamic potential.

EventFlow: Real‐time neuromorphic event‐driven classification of two‐phase boiling flow regimes

We present a real‐time flow regime classification framework that integrates neuromorphic event‐driven sensing with deep recurrent neural networks. Unlike traditional frame‐based approaches, our system captures sparse event streams from an event‐based camera, representing only the dynamic brightness changes at the individual pixel level.

Low‐Temperature in Situ Upgrading of Ultra‐Deep Heavy Oil Using Ni–Ce/MOF–OTf Superacid Catalysts to Enhance Energy Utilization and Sustainability

A triflate‐functionalized Ni–Ce/MOF–OTf superacid enables low‐temperature (∼140°C) in situ upgrading of ultra‐deep heavy oil.
