Synthesis and characterization of Na-P1 (GIS) zeolite using a kaolinitic rock

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2020
This work focuses on the hydrothermal synthesis of Na-P1 zeolite by using a kaolinite rock coming from Romana (Sassari, Italy). The kaolin is calcined at a temperature of 650 °C and then mixed with calculated quantities of NaOH.

Cell surface processing of the P1 adhesin of Mycoplasma pneumoniae identifies novel domains that bind host molecules

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2020
Mycoplasma pneumoniae is a genome reduced pathogen and causative agent of community acquired pneumonia. The major cellular adhesin, P1, localises to the tip of the attachment organelle forming a complex with P40 and P90, two cleavage fragments derived by

Investigation of the effects of P1 on HC-pro-mediated gene silencing suppression through genetics and omics approaches

open access: yesBotanical Studies, 2020
Background Posttranscriptional gene silencing (PTGS) is one of the most important mechanisms for plants during viral infection. However, viruses have also developed viral suppressors to negatively control PTGS by inhibiting microRNA (miRNA) and short ...
