Fragment‐Based Drug Discovery of Novel High‐affinity, Selective, and Anti‐inflammatory Inhibitors of the Keap1‐Nrf2 Protein‐Protein Interaction

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 137, Issue 39, September 22, 2025.
We developed potent and selective noncovalent Keap1‐Nrf2 inhibitors through a structure‐guided fragment‐based approach. These nanomolar inhibitors activate Nrf2‐controlled genes, suppress inflammation via NLRP3 and STING pathways, and exhibit distinct transcriptional profiles compared to covalent Nrf2 activators, offering promising chemical probes and ...

Structural Connectivity Disruption and Structural–Functional Decoupling in Working Memory Networks Across Pre‐Dialysis and Maintenance Hemodialysis End‐Stage Renal Disease Patients

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 1, January 2026.
This study examined structural connectivity (SC) and structural–functional coupling (SFC) within working memory (WM) networks in end‐stage renal disease. Pre‐dialysis patients showed disrupted frontoparietal connectivity and reduced coupling, associated with higher urea, lower sodium, and impaired WM performance.

Mathematical Modeling and Hybrid GA Optimization for Multifactory Production–Assembly Flexible Job Shop Scheduling With Adaptive Neighborhood Search

open access: yesInternational Journal of Intelligent Systems, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
In response to the multifactory collaborative distributed characteristics of building material equipment during the manufacturing process, this paper studies the two‐stage (production–assembly) distributed assembly flexible job shop scheduling problem (DAFJSP) and constructs a corresponding mathematical model. To address this complex NP‐hard problem, a

Investigating the causal role of circulating metabolites in major depressive disorder

open access: yesGeneral Psychiatry, Volume 38, Issue 6, December 2025.
Background Metabolic dysregulation has been implicated in major depressive disorder (MDD). Aims We aimed to explore the potential role of plasma metabolites in MDD. Methods We conducted Mendelian randomisation (MR) analysis to evaluate the causal effects of 871 circulating metabolites on MDD, using the Genome‐Wide Association Studies datasets of MDD (N=

«C’est en chantant que des muets ont retrouvé l’usage de la parole». Nouveaux regards sur le gérondif [PDF]

open access: yesStudii de Lingvistica, 2011
During the last 10-15 years, gerund (le gérondif) has been studied from almost all possible points of view, in other words, frommorphological, syntactic, semantic and discourse perspectives.Nevertheless, investigators have not yet reached any agreement ...

Optimization of Curing Temperature for Epoxy/SiO2/Glass Fiber Composite: Dual Enhancement of Mechanical Strength and Thermal Stability for Thin‐Walled Pressure Vessels

open access: yesPolymers for Advanced Technologies, Volume 36, Issue 11, November 2025.
ABSTRACT The development of advanced composite materials for thin‐walled pressure vessels demands a balance between mechanical strength and thermal insulation. In this study, a novel three‐phase composite system comprising epoxy resin, silica (SiO2) micro‐particles, and glass fiber reinforcement was fabricated and characterized for potential ...

Translation Problems of Non-Equivalent Vocabulary [PDF]

open access: yes
In every language, lexical units cannot be directly translated into other languages. These linguistic components, often called non-equivalent vocabulary or realia, are deeply rooted in a language's cultural and national background.

Association of Gut Microbiota With Performance Level Among Iranian Professional and Semi‐Professional Runners: A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 8, Issue 10, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims The gut microbiota is a diverse ecosystem with the potential to significantly enhance athletic metabolic capacity. Emerging research indicates that the gut microbiota plays a crucial role in modulating energy metabolism, immune function, oxidative stress, skeletal muscle dynamics, and neuroendocrine regulation, all of which
