Zinc and Cobalt Coordination Polymers Based on the Redox‐Active Linker 4,4′‐(Phenazine‐5,10‐diyl)dibenzoate: Structures and Electrochemical Properties

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, Volume 28, Issue 25, September 11, 2025.
The two novel Zn‐ and Co‐based coordination polymers with the redox‐active (H)PZDB−/2− linker exhibit oxidative color changes due to radical cation formation of the linker as confirmed by spectroelectrochemical analysis. The novel coordination polymers [Zn(PZDB)(DEF)2]n (Zn‐PZDB) and [Co(HPZDB)2(DEF)2]n (Co‐HPZDB) (H2PZDB = 4,4′‐(phenazine‐5,10‐diyl ...

Change in Colonoscopy Quality Performance Indicators in Symptomatic Patients Following Introduction of the Bowel Screening Programme in Te Tai Tokerau

open access: yesANZ Journal of Surgery, Volume 95, Issue 9, Page 1788-1792, September 2025.
ABSTRACT Background The introduction of the Bowel Screening Programme (BSP) came with a focus on high‐quality endoscopy. This was supported by open reporting and feedback of quality performance indicators (QPIs) to endoscopists. The aim of this study is to describe any changes in QPIs of colonoscopies for non‐screening, symptomatic patients following ...

Green Synthesis of Hantzsch Dihydropyridines from Biorenewable Furans Derived from Lignocellulosic Biomass

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 28, Issue 28, July 29, 2025.
A sustainable methodology is developed for the synthesis of dihydropyridines from furanic aldehydes derived from lignocellulosic biomass, using p‐sulfonic calix[4]arene as a catalyst and microwave irradiation heating. The reaction occurs in the absence of solvents, with short reaction time and satisfactory yields.

Macroscale Superlubricity with a High Load‐Carrying Capacity Enabled by Nitrogen‐Doped Graphene Quantum Dots in Lubricated Silicon‐Doped Amorphous Carbon Films

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 6, Issue 7, July 2025.
Achieving superlubricity in aqueous‐lubricated systems for energy conservation remains challenging. Here, a newly developed nanolubricant based on nitrogen‐doped graphene quantum dots (NGQDs) enables robust superlubricity between steel and silicon‐doped amorphous carbon film.
