On Durrmeyer Type λ-Bernstein Operators via (p, q)-Calculus

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2020
In the present paper, Durrmeyer type λ-Bernstein operators via (p, q)-calculus are constructed, the first and second moments and central moments of these operators are estimated, a Korovkin type approximation theorem is established, and the estimates on the rate of convergence by using the modulus of continuity of second order and Steklov mean are ...

Universal scaling limits of matrix models, and (p,q) Liouville gravity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We show that near a point where the equilibrium density of eigenvalues of a matrix model behaves like y ~ x^{p/q}, the correlation functions of a random matrix, are, to leading order in the appropriate scaling, given by determinants of the universal (p,q)

Convexity and Star-shapedness of Matricial Range

open access: yes, 2018
Let ${\bf A} = (A_1, \dots, A_m)$ be an $m$-tuple of bounded linear operators acting on a Hilbert space ${\cal H}$. Their joint $(p,q)$-matricial range $\Lambda_{p,q}({\bf A})$ is the collection of $(B_1, \dots, B_m) \in {\bf M}_q^m$, where $I_p\otimes ...

Ofatumumab in Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein Antibody–Associated Disease: A Comparison With Rituximab

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of ofatumumab in patients with myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody–associated disease (MOGAD), and compare it with rituximab. Methods We conducted a single–center, observational study including 22 MOGAD patients treated with ofatumumab and 21 treated with rituximab.

The convergence of (p,q) $(p,q)$-Bernstein operators for the Cauchy kernel with a pole via divided difference

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2019
In this paper, some qualitative approximation results for the (p,q) $(p,q)$-Bernstein operators Bp,qn(f;x) $B_{p,q}^{n}(f;x)$ are obtained for the Cauchy kernel 1x−α $\frac{1}{x-\alpha }$ with a pole α∈[0,1] $\alpha \in {}[ 0,1]$ for q>p>1 $q>p>1$.

A good presentation of (-2,3,2s+1)-type Pretzel knot group and R-covered foliation

open access: yes, 2012
Let K_s be a (-2,3,2s+1)-type Pretzel knot (s >= 3) and E(K_s)(p/q) be a closed manifold obtained by Dehn surgery along K_s with a slope p/q. We prove that if q>0, p/q >= 4s+7 and p is odd, then E(K_s)(p/q) cannot contain an R-covered foliation.

Sertraline Treatment Can Mimic Niemann‐Pick Type C Biomarker Profile: A Diagnostic Pitfall

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Oxysterols (cholestane‐3β,5α,6β‐triol and 7‐ketocholesterol) and N‐palmitoyl‐O‐phosphocholineserine (PPCS) are sensitive biomarkers for Niemann‐Pick disease type C (NPC) screening. However, false‐positive results occur, with a biomarker profile suggestive of NPC despite the absence of pathogenic variants in genes involved in NPC or ...

The Tale of the Residual Tail: Insights From Continuous Intracranial Monitoring From Post‐Hippocampectomy Dynamics

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Subtotal hippocampal resection can leave residual hippocampal tissue, yet the immediate postoperative electrophysiologic evolution of such remnants is unknown. We describe a patient with drug‐resistant temporal lobe epilepsy in whom a hippocampal remnant was continuously monitored using a responsive neurostimulator (RNS) following subtotal ...
