Impact of hemodialysis on P-wave amplitude, duration, and dispersion

open access: yesIndian Pacing and Electrophysiology Journal, 2007
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a frequent arrhythmia in patients undergoing hemodialysis (HD). P wave duration (PWdu) and P wave dispersion (PWdi) have been shown to be predictors of emerging AF in different clinical conditions.

Free particle wavefunction in light of the minimum-length deformed quantum mechanics and some of its phenomenological implications

open access: yes, 2011
At a fundamental level the notion of particle (quantum) comes from quantum field theory. From this point of view we estimate corrections to the free particle wave function due to minimum-length deformed quantum mechanics to the first order in the ...

Ferrocene Derivatives Enable Ultrasensitive Perovskite Photodetectors with Enhanced Reverse Bias Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Novel ferrocene derivatives (e.g., FcPhc2) are used as an ultrathin layer hole‐blocking layer, reducing hole injection from the Ag contact. This results in an ultralow noise spectral density of 1.2 × 10−14 A Hz−1/2, and a high specific detectivity of 8.1 × 1012 Jones at −0.5 V.

Optical Control of the Thermal Conductivity in BaTiO3

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Light‐driven manipulation of thermal conductivity in archetypal ferroelectric, BaTiO3, offers a novel and effective approach for the dynamical control of the heat flux, with potential applications in thermal management and phonon‐based logic. Abstract Achieving dynamic control over thermal conductivity remains a formidable challenge in condensed matter

Understanding and Optimizing Li Substitution in P2‐Type Sodium Layered Oxides for Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work explores Li‐substituted P2 layered oxides for Na‐ion batteries by crystallographic and electrochemical studies. The effect of lithium on superstructure orderings, on phase transitions during synthesis and electrochemical cycling and on the interplay of O‐ versus TM‐redox is revealed via various advanced techniques, including semi‐simultaneous

Increased P-wave dispersion in patients with newly diagnosed lichen planus

open access: yesClinics, 2013
OBJECTIVE: Lichen planus is a chronic inflammatory autoimmune mucocutaneous disease. Recent research has emphasized the strong association between inflammation and both P-wave dispersion and dyslipidemia.
