Inherited thrombocytopenia (IT) caused by germline variants in RUNX1, ETV6 or ANKRD26 carries a high risk of developing haematological malignancy. This study examined the clinical, platelet and molecular characteristics of 66 patients with these conditions, who carried 24 distinct genetic variants in the corresponding genes.

NMDA and PACAP receptor signaling interact to mediate retinal-induced scn cellular rhythmicity in the absence of light. [PDF]
The "core" region of the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN), a central clock responsible for coordinating circadian rhythms, shows a daily rhythm in phosphorylation of extracellular regulated kinase (pERK).

The tissue and functional benefits are demonstrated with local, sustained delivery of an anti‐inflammatory peptide, pituitary adenylate cyclase‐activating polypeptide (PACAP), for stroke treatment in a mouse model. Prolonged PACAP treatment modulated astrocyte and microglia toward pro‐reparative phenotypes, enhanced neuroprotection and preservation of ...

Deciphering the skeletal interoceptive circuitry to control bone homeostasis
This review introduces the skeletal interoceptive circuitry, covering the ascending signals from bone tissues to the brain (sensors), the central neural circuits that integrate this information and dispatch commands (CPU), and the descending pathways that regulate bone homeostasis (effectors).

The certainty is moderate for a slightly higher platelet count in patients with periodontitis compared to individuals without periodontitis and low for no difference in mean platelet volume between the two groups. The evidence is not robust to claim a clear difference in other platelet activation biomarkers between the two groups.

PAC1 Receptor-Mediated Relaxation of Longitudinal Muscle of the Mouse Proximal Colon
Since pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide (PACAP) was shown to partially mediate nonadrenergic, noncholinergic (NANC) relaxation of longitudinal muscle of the proximal colon of ICR mice, we further studied the receptor subtype activated by PACAP by using a mutant mouse whose PAC1 receptors are markedly reduced.

Abstract Background and Purpose Several G protein‐coupled receptors (GPCRs) are known to homodimerise. Dimeric GPCRs may have different properties from their monomers, but the molecular basis and functional significance of GPCR dimerisation remain largely unknown.

ABSTRACT The apoplastic space surrounding plant cells, encompassing the cell wall matrix, extracellular spaces, and xylem, is one of the least understood compartments within plant tissues due to its lack of limiting membranes and its unavoidable damage upon tissue homogenization. Using a streamlined vacuum‐infiltration/centrifugation protocol to enrich

Abstract Objective This study aimed to provide proof‐of‐concept that multi‐receptor antagonist peptides can be generated by covalently linking independent antagonist peptides that block calcitonin gene‐related peptide (CGRP8‐37) or pituitary adenylate cyclase‐activating peptide (PACAP)/vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) (PACAP6‐38) activity ...
