ARTIFICIAL CARDIAC PACEMAKERS.

Nine patients with complete heart block and Stokes-Adams disease were treated with subcutaneously implanted, fixed-rate, artificial cardiac pacemakers. All of these patients were refractory to medical treatment and confined to bed by the frequency of their attacks.
