Theories on formation of an anomalous anticyclone in western North Pacific during El Niño: A review

open access: yesJournal of Meteorological Research, 2017
The western North Pacific anomalous anticyclone (WNPAC) is an important atmospheric circulation system that conveys El Niño impact on East Asian climate. In this review paper, various theories on the formation and maintenance of the WNPAC, including warm

Inhibition of KDEL Receptors Remodels the Tumor Microenvironment for T Cell Independent Tumor Regression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inhibition of KDELR2 in a small fraction of tumor cells generates sustainable immunogenic cell death conditions within the tumor microenvironment. These conditions promote the regression of tumors in a T cell independent manner. During regression, macrophages prime T cells that subsequently provide systemic protection against recurrence. The potency of

Causal‐Guided Ultra‐Long‐Term Time Series Forecasting Via Anticipated Covariates

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Often treated as unknown, information from the future remains underutilized. We demonstrate that in a coupled dynamical system, providing the future state of the effect enables accurate forecasting of the cause for a long timesteps. A time series forecasting paradigm that introduces anticipated covariates to represent such known future states is ...

Thermoelectric PANI/TeNWs Fiber Based Microsensor for Passive Temperature and Active Chemical Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Continuous wet‐spinning of PANI with TeNWs yields a multifunctional microfiber. Oriented TeNWs impose chain alignment and enhance π‐electron delocalization, boosting the Seebeck coefficient to 59.9 µV K−1 for passive temperature sensing (1 K detection limit), while achieving high pH sensitivity (59.25 mV pH−1) and rapid NH3 response (0.96 s).
