A study on characterization of pack-cemented aluminide coating on metals

Abstract In this paper sample of Ni, plain steel and Cr-steel are pack cemented by Al 2 O 3 powder. The specimens were then isostatic oxidation tested. Using SEM and EPMA, the aluminide layers of samples are characterized and the rates of corrosion in the different samples are evaluated.
