Self-generated Self-similar Traffic [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Self-similarity in the network traffic has been studied from several aspects: both at the user side and at the network side there are many sources of the long range dependence.

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Enhancing TCP End-to-End Performance in Millimeter-Wave Communications

open access: yes, 2017
Recently, millimeter-wave (mmWave) communications have received great attention due to the availability of large spectrum resources. Nevertheless, their impact on TCP performance has been overlooked, which is observed that the said TCP performance ...

Long‐term hippocampal alterations and cognitive impairment in a murine model of surgical sepsis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Using a mouse model of surgical sepsis, we tested long‐term memory and analyzed the transcriptome of single cells isolated from the hippocampus. Survivor mice showed worse memory, loss of certain brain cell subpopulations, and abnormal immune cell activity—suggesting that post‐sepsis brain alterations may be linked to cognitive deficits.

Analisis Penggunaan Algoritma Useless Packet Transmission Avoidance (UPTA) untuk Menghindari Transmisi Paket Tidak Berguna pada Multimedia di Jaringan dengan Tingkat Best-Effort

open access: yesJurnal Teknik ITS, 2012

Derivation and characterization of retinal pigment epithelium from urine‐derived iPSCs

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Age‐related macular degeneration causes vision loss via RPE dysfunction and loss. Traditional iPSC therapies rely on invasive biopsies, limiting scalability. Here, we utilize urine‐derived stem cells as an accessible source to generate u‐iPSCs, successfully differentiated into pigmented RPE. This “Urine‐to‐Retina” platform provides a promising path for

Research on Key Technologies and Design of High-peed Transmission Protocol in Space-Integrated-Ground Information Network

open access: yes天地一体化信息网络, 2021
In order to solve the problems of high packet loss rate, high bit error rate and long delay in space-integrated-ground information network, a transmission protocol (SRTP), which was based on UDP and SCPS-TP was designed. In SRTP, ACK and NAK ...

Molecular dynamics simulations of positively selected codons in FcγRI reveal novel biochemical binding properties

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...
