Investigation of the Effects of Strain and Electric Field on the Spin‐State Energetics of Co‐Doped BaTiO3 and PbTiO3

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ab initio calculations using the r2SCAN functional show that biaxial strain does not alter the high spin preference of cobalt‐doped BaTiO3 and PbTiO3; a small compressive uniaxial strain however results in an equally favorable low spin state for BaTiO3 and thus bistable magnetism.

High Performance Room Temperature Multiferroic Properties of w‐MnSe Altermagnet

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Using first‐principles calculations, for the first time the Altermagneto‐Ferroelectric Coupling Effect (AFCE) is proposed, which enables control of both electric polarization and spin splitting in the band structure due to polyhedral rotations. This uncovers robust multiferroicity in wurtzite MnSe at room temperature, offering an exciting route for ...

Performance analysis of Bluetooth packet transmission and adaptive packet selection strategy

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2005
Relations between bit error rate and average received signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in AWGN channel were derived for three modulation modes defined by Bluetooth 2.0+EDR new specification.

Controlled Aggregation of Pyrene‐Based Supramolecular Nanostructures for Light‐Driven Switchable H2 or H2O2 Production

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work reports the self‐assembly of a pyrene derivative into two distinct nanostructures and their application in visible‐light photocatalysis. The two nanostructures exhibit completely different yet complementary photocatalytic activities, promoting either H2 or H2O2 evolution.

On-board congestion control for satellite packet switching networks [PDF]

open access: yes
It is desirable to incorporate packet switching capability on-board for future communication satellites. Because of the statistical nature of packet communication, incoming traffic fluctuates and may cause congestion. Thus, it is necessary to incorporate

Sonication‐Assisted Palladium Nanogaps in a Capacitive Structure: A Tunable and Reliable Solution for Sensitive Hydrogen Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a capacitive hydrogen sensor with a simple structure and process. Sonication‐induced Pd nanogaps modulate the effective electrode area in response to hydrogen concentration, resulting in capacitance changes within a range predefined by physical parameters.
