The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Approximation algorithms for multidimensional bin packing
The bin packing problem has been the corner stone of approximation algorithms and has been extensively studied starting from the early seventies. In the classical bin packing problem, we are given a list of real numbers in the range (0, 1], the goal is ...

This study presents a reversible temperature sensor with high switching ratio, ∼103. The device is fabricated using PET‐ITO and carbon nanotube dispersions in alkane. Considering its application in cold chain logistics, a proof‐of‐concept with LED is showcased. Thus, a temperature drop below the threshold temperature (crystallization temperature of the

The Packing Chromatic Number of Random d-regular Graphs
Let G = (V (G),E(G)) be a simple graph of order n and let i be a positive integer. Xi superset V (G) is called an i-packing if vertices in Xi are pairwise distance more than i apart. A packing coloring of G is a partition X = {X1,X2,X3, . . .

A Workflow to Accelerate Microstructure‐Sensitive Fatigue Life Predictions
This study introduces a workflow to accelerate predictions of microstructure‐sensitive fatigue life. Results from frameworks with varying levels of simplification are benchmarked against published reference results. The analysis reveals a trade‐off between accuracy and model complexity, offering researchers a practical guide for selecting the optimal ...

Coloring problems in graph theory: k-packings and (p,q)-colorings
A graph coloring is a map $\varphi$ from the vertices (or edges) of a graph $G$ to a set of colors. In Chapters 1 and 2, we provide preliminary information about graph theory and graph colorings and offer motivation behind the work.
