Effective packing dimension of $\Pi ^0_1$-classes [PDF]
Summary: We construct a \( \Pi^0_1\)-class \( X\) that has classical packing dimension 0 and effective packing dimension 1. This implies that, unlike in the case of effective Hausdorff dimension, there is no natural correspondence principle (as defined by Lutz) for effective packing dimension.

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

Assouad Dimensions and Lower Dimensions of Some Moran Sets
We prove that the low dimensions of a class of Moran sets coincide with their Hausdorff dimensions and obtain a formula for the lower dimensions.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Random packing in three dimensions
Abstract Unraveling the complexities of random packing in three dimensions has long puzzled physicists. While both experiments and simulations consistently show a maximum density of 64 percent for tightly packed random spheres, we still lack an unambiguous and universally accepted definition of random packing.

Packing dimension of mean porous measures [PDF]
We prove that the packing dimension of any mean porous Radon measure on $\mathbb R^d$ may be estimated from above by a function which depends on mean porosity. The upper bound tends to $d-1$ as mean porosity tends to its maximum value. This result was stated in \cite{BS}, and in a weaker form in \cite{JJ1}, but the proofs are not correct.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Bowen’s Equations for Weighted Upper Metric Mean Dimension with Potential
In this paper, we define the weighted upper metric mean dimension with potential and derive its corresponding Bowen’s equation. Furthermore, we introduce the weighted BS metric mean dimension and the weighted packing BS metric mean dimension on the ...

Analysis of Dimension Stone Waste Addition to the Clayey Mass Used in Roof Tile Production [PDF]
Addition of dimension stone waste to clayey mass is an alternative to make the dimension stone sector more environmentally sustainable and to reduce the consumption of clayey raw material.
