An Implanted Tooth That Can Feel
Advanced Science, EarlyView. To endow the implanted tooth with masticatory perception, herein we demonstrate that a 3D‐printed piezoelectric‐core/robust‐sheath implanted tooth can rebuild the sensing feedback, serving as “mechanoreceptors” in converting the mechanical chewing force to electrical signals, and up to brain through surrounding alveolar nerve system.Yaru Cao, Zhenhua Wu, Jiwei Sun, Ke Song, Jiayi Li, Yujin Li, Wenqi Chen, Hanyu Li, Shue Li, Cheng Yang, Silin Liu, Yunyun Han, Bin Su, Yumei Ding +13 morewiley +1 more sourceLiquid Metal Nanotransformers for Drug‐Resistant Pan‐Cancer Therapy in Patient‐Derived Organoids
Advanced Science, EarlyView.Pan‐cancer therapies are severely limited in drug‐resistance patients due to genetic mutations and other factors, resulting in poor therapeutic outcomes and constrained clinical benefit. Liquid metal nanotransformers, a new class of shape‐transformable nanomaterials capable of dramatic morphological changes, offer a promising physical strategy to ...Xiaojie Yuan, Xuelin Wang, Zhongyao Chen, Shuo Wang, Weining Gao, Ziyi Chen, Runyang Li, Cheng Hao, Lei Zhang, Qiongqiong Zhang, Ke Zhang, Mei Yu, Qian Liu, Jingxuan Wang, Huiping Li, Simpkins Fiona, Jing Liu, Qiang Liu, Peng Liu, Yawei Hu +19 morewiley +1 more sourceStatus of cerebrovascular autoregulation relates to outcome in severe paediatric head injury: STARSHIP, a prospective multicentre validation studyResearch in context

Advanced Science, EarlyView.ABSTRACT
Background & Aims: Cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) drive immunosuppression in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, their metabolic regulation remains poorly defined. We investigated the role of nicotinamide N‐methyltransferase (NNMT) in CAFs. Approach & Results: High NNMT expression in CAF tissues was confirmed by western blotting and Shounan Lu, Shanjia Ke, Hongjun Yu, Zhanzhi Meng, Miaoyu Bai, Yanan Xu, Hui Zhu, Jinwen Yang, Baolin Qian, Bing Yin, Chaoqun Wang, Zhigang Feng, Zhongyu Li, Yongzhi Zhou, Zihao Li, Xinglong Li, Yongliang Hua, Yao Fu, Wei Tang, Yaohua Wu, Yong Ma +20 morewiley +1 more sourceEngineering Approaches to Modify Immunomodulatory Functions of Mesenchymal Stromal Cells (MSCs): Tissue Regeneration and Clinical Application
Advanced Science, EarlyView.Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) show promise for treating immune‐related disorders through immunomodulation and tissue regeneration. This review gives a brief overview of current clinical approval of MSC therapies. It also discussed how bioengineering, including genetic modification, biomaterial delivery, extracellular vesicles, and iPSC‐derived MSCs, Sichen Yang, Kejia Li, Ning Wang, Zhen Li, Zhiyong Zhang, Rocky S. Advanced Science, EarlyView.Glaucoma, a major cause of blindness, involves retinal ganglion cell (RGC) degeneration. This study shows growth hormone‐releasing hormone receptor (GHRHR) deficiency preserves RGC survival and restores vision, unlike activation which only aids survival.Yan Tong, Ming Ho Yam, Jiaxin Zhang, Lin Du, Linbin Zhou, Yolanda Wong Ying Yip, Bo Man Ho, Hemlata Bisnauthsing, Jiahui Li, Ivan Kong, Shushu Xu, Changzhen Fu, Karl K.H.
