PhytoKeys, 2015 We describe and illustrate Paepalanthus serpens, a microendemic species of Eriocaulaceae from the Espinhaço Range. The species is known from a single population growing in rocky areas of the Serra do Cipó, Minas Gerais.

Quercetagetin 7-methyl ether glycosides from Paepalanthus vellozioides and Paepalanthus latipes
Phytochemistry, 1999 Several new quercetagetin 7-methyl ether glycosides were characterized from the ethanolic extracts of scapes and leaves of Paepalanthus vellozioides and P. latipes. Their structures were determined mainly by 600 MHz NMR spectroscopy.

PhytoKeys, 2012 Syngonanthus weddellii var. gracilis Moldenke (1973) was described very briefly based on a single collection. A careful analysis reveals that this variety has dimerous flowers, free petals of the pistillate flower and bifid stigmatic branches.
