Page Number and Graph Treewidth
International Journal of Applied Metaheuristic Computing, 2010Book-embedding of graph G involves embedding its vertices along the spine of the book and assigning its edges to pages of the book such that no two edges cross on the same page. The pagenumber of G is the minimum number of pages in a book-embedding of G.

Page‐number of hypercubes and cube‐connected cycles
Systems and Computers in Japan, 1989AbstractBy the book embedding of a graph is meant a procedure to place the vertices of a graph along the spine of a book and to draw the edges in several pages, where the edges in a page should not cross each other. By the page‐number of a graph is meant the minimum number of pages needed in the book embedding.

Bounds to the page number of partially ordered sets
1990In this paper we initiate study of a new poset invariant, the page number, well-known for graphs. Lower and upper bounds are derived and then they are used to evaluate and to bound the exact value of the page number for some families of posets. Several problems are posed.

A Hybrid Evolutionary Algorithm for the Page Number Minimization Problem
2011In this paper we present a hybrid evolutionary algorithm (HEA) for solving the pagenumber problem. In HEA, random depth first search of the graph is used for placing the vertices on the spine and an edge embedding heuristic is designed to distribute the edges on a minimal number of pages.

Creating a Report — Page Layout, Headers and Footers with Page Numbers
1989In this lesson you will learn to: * understand the page layout * alter the page layout * set a header to print out on the top of every page * set a footer to print out on the top of every page that includes an automatic page number * alter the starting page number In this lesson you will revise: * setting margins
