Hermit crabs from Brazil: Family Paguridae (Crustacea: Decapoda: Paguroidea), except Pagurus

Zootaxa, 2011
In a previous paper we presented the species of the genus Pagurus recorded from Brazil. Here, we present the other 12 genera of the family Paguridae that occur in Brazil, with diagnoses, synonymies, illustrations and keys to species. These 12 genera include 16 species, some of which were found recently and only in deeper waters.

Spermatophore morphology in the hermit crab families Paguridae and Parapaguridae (Paguroidea, Anomura, Decapoda)

Invertebrate Reproduction and Development, 1999
Summary The spermatophore morphology is described and illustrated for 11 species of pagurid hermit crab. All possess a typical tripartite, pedunculate spermatophore characteristic of paguroid anomurans. In the majority of species an accessory ampulla is present at the base of the sperm-filled main ampulla of the spermatophore. This accessory ampulla is

Hermit crabs from Brazil. Family Paguridae (Crustacea: Decapoda: Paguroidea): Genus Pagurus

Zootaxa, 2007
In Brazil, the hermit crab family Paguridae is represented by 11 genera, of which the genus Pagurus is the most speciose, with seven species that occur from the intertidal zone to shallow waters and one from deeper regions. A review of eastern Atlantic species of the family Parapaguridae (Decapoda, Anomura, Paguroidea)

Journal of Natural History, 1990
Fifteen hermit crab species of Parapagurus Smith, 1879, Sympagurus Smith, 1883, or Strobopagurus Lemaitre, 1989, have been found to occur in the eastern Atlantic. Of these, eight are also found in the western Atlantic and have been sufficiently described previously. The remaining seven species are reviewed and for each, a complete synonymy, a diagnosis

A new hermit crab (Anomura, Paguroidea) from the upper Albian (Cretaceous) of Annopol, Poland

Zootaxa, 2015
A new diogenid paguroid, Paguristes liwinskii sp. nov., is described from upper Albian phosphorite-bearing deposits near Annopol, along the east bank of the River Vistula (Wisła), east-central Poland. This new species constitutes an additional example of Early–Mid-Cretaceous macrofaunal shift, from marine reefal limestone to siliciclastic facies ...

Three new species of pagurid hermit crabs (Decapoda: Anomura: Paguroidea) from the Northern Mariana Islands, Micronesia

Zootaxa, 2022
We describe three new species of hermit crab of the pagurid genera, Catapagurus A. Milne-Edwards, 1880, Nematopagurus A. Milne-Edwards & Bouvier, 1892 and Pagurixus Melin, 1939, on the basis of material collected during the scientific cruise to the Northern Mariana Islands conducted by the U.S. National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (
