Quantum interference comparison between benzene, naphthalene, and azulene single molecular junction. [PDF]
The ability to build devices from single-molecular junctions depends on the fabrication of molecular structures. Here we report significant changes in the transmission coefficient for different connectivities for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs ...

ABSTRACT Large‐ion (K, Na) battery systems mitigate uneven global lithium distribution, while their ability to attain recharge time shorter than refueling would remove the final barrier for secondary batteries to replace petroleum vehicles. However, their large‐ion chemistry makes ultra‐fast charging an even significant challenge.

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and their polar derivatives (oxygenated PAHs, azaarenes) in soils along a climosequence in Argentina [PDF]
We evaluated the effects of soil properties and climate on concentrations of parent and oxygenated polycyclic aromatic compounds (PAHs and OPAHs) and azaarenes (AZAs) in topsoil and subsoil at 20 sites along a 2100-km north (N)–south (S) transect in ...

Enhancement of PAHs biodegradation in biosurfactant/phenol system by increasing the bioavailability of PAHs [PDF]
The poor bioavailability of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) is the main limiting factor for their biodegradation in contaminated sites. The addition of biosurfactant is an effective method for enhancing the bioavailability of PAHs.

Dust deposited on the leaves of trees can be effectively used as the monitors of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). The dust deposited on the leaves can be used as an appropriate index for evaluating PAHs in the atmosphere.

Geometry‐Controlled Assembly of Self‐Standing Nanorods With Undisturbed Plasmonics
This study reports a geometry‐driven assembly strategy to vertically align Au@Ag core–shell nanorods on PS beads. This well‐defined architecture enables the preservation of the intrinsic optical response of individual nanorods. Thus, demonstrate a highly reproducible SERS enhancement with exceptional uniformity.

Atmospheric deposition of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) to a coastal site of Hong Kong, South China [PDF]
Dry and wet deposition of atmospheric particles is a dominant pathway for PAHs to the coastal environments. Very few studies have been conducted to quantify the contribution of atmospheric deposition to PAH levels in the coastal regions.

A Modular Standard Operating Procedure for Standardizing Lithium Metal Interfaces
A modular standard operating procedure (SOP) is developed to standardize lithium metal interfaces through sequential etching, brushing, and soaking. By transforming poorly controlled lithium surfaces into chemically uniform and structurally regulated interfaces, the framework improves electrochemical reproducibility, interfacial stability, and ...
