In this study, the authors show that osteocytes, mechanosensing cells embedded within bone, can indeed regulate prostate cancer cell extravasation through a blood vessel using a physiologically relevant tissue model. Specifically, it is shown that osteocytes modulate the expression of blood vessel cell adhesion molecules, affecting the frequency at ...

Comprehensive Analysis of Bioactive Peptides from Cuminum cyminum L. Seeds: Sequence Identification and Pharmacological Evaluation [PDF]
Cuminum cyminum L. (cumin) is a medicinal and edible plant widely used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for treating various ailments, including diarrhea, abdominal pain, inflammation, asthma, and diabetes. While previous research has primarily focused on its essential oils, studies on its protein-derived bioactive peptides remain limited. In this

Bioresorbable and Wireless Rechargeable Implanted Na‐ion Battery for Temporary Medical Devices
An all‐solid‐state bioresorbable Na‐ion battery is developed, composed entirely of bio‐eliminable materials. In vivo and ex vivo tests confirmed harmless disintegration of this implanted battery. Lifetime of the implanted battery can be precisely controlled by adjusting the dissolvable encapsulation layer's thickness.

Vibration as an exercise modality: how it may work, and what its potential might be [PDF]
Whilst exposure to vibration is traditionally regarded as perilous, recent research has focussed on potential benefits. Here, the physical principles of forced oscillations are discussed in relation to vibration as an exercise modality.

Mesenchymal stem cell‐derived nanoghosts (MSC‐NGs) mimic naturally secreted extracellular vesicles (MSC‐EVs) in structure and physicochemical properties but can be synthesized at more translatable yields. As osteogenic agents, MSC‐NGs demonstrate superior outcomes compared to MSC‐EVs.
