Models for estimating VOC emissions from latex paints [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
textMany models for predicting volatile organic compounds (VOC) emissions from latex paints have been developed. Earlier models were developed for solvent-borne paints, particularly since these paints evaporate rapidly and can be modeled with simple ...

SODIUM ALUMINATE IN CASTING PAINTS

open access: yes, 2016
Comparative researches showed that sodium aluminate can be successfully used as a modifying addition into the foundry paints on the basis disthen-sillimanite and lignosulfonate, as well as the binder for the chill mould paints based on ...

Społeczna percepcja klimatu akustycznego Poznania

open access: yesRozwój Regionalny i Polityka Regionalna, 2020

Development and In Vitro Validation of Antibacterial Paints Containing Chloroxylenol and Terpineol

open access: yesToxics, 2022
The establishment of self-disinfecting surfaces is an important method to avoid surface contamination. Recently, paints with antimicrobial properties have been developed to be applied on different surfaces, avoiding contamination with pathogens.

Low Cycle Repetitive Loading of Ti‐6Al‐4V‐Epoxy Composite Lattice Structures for Enhanced Energy Dissipation and Damage Tolerance

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Composite Ti–6Al–4V–epoxy lattice structures are additively manufactured and epoxy infiltrated for cyclic loading. At low lattice volume fractions, hybridization produces synergistic gains in stiffness and energy dissipation. At higher volume fractions, synergy diminishes, although composites still exceed metallic lattices in specific energy ...

Experimental Characterization of Mycelium‐Based Composites Under Multiple Loading Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study examines the mechanical response of mycelium‐based composites under compression, shear, and tension using mechanical testing and imaging methods. The comparison between unpressed and hot‐pressed specimens shows that hot pressing is associated with higher compression and shear stiffnesses.

Colloidal Stability of Positively Charged Dispersions of Styrene and Acrylic Copolymers in the Presence of TiO2 and CaCO3

open access: yesColloids and Interfaces, 2019
Increasing antibiotic resistance of several pathogenic microorganisms calls for alternative approaches to prevent spreading of bacterial diseases. We propose to employ for this purpose coatings obtained from positively charged latex dispersions.

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Counterion Dependent Side‐Chain Relaxation Stiffens a Chemically Doped Thienothiophene Copolymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Oxidation of a thienothiophene copolymer, p(g3TT‐T2), via different doping strategies and dopant molecules resulted in materials with similar oxidation levels and a high electrical conductivity of ≈100 S cm−1. However, mechanical properties varied significantly, with sub‐glass transition temperatures and elastic moduli spanning from –44°C to –3°C and ...
