Top pair production distributions at the Tevatron

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2013
At the Tevatron, the top quark is mainly produced in pairs through the strong interaction and decays before forming hadrons. Thus the kinematical distributions at top pair production possess rich information on the tt¯$tar t$ production vertex including ...

Pair production in the pulsar magnetosphere

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 1979
Detailed calculations of some nuclear processes occurring at the magnetic poles of a neutron star confirm the general properties of a model of electron-positron pair production described previously. Photohadronic absorption reactions in the electromagnetic showers formed by ultrarelativistic electrons incident on the stellar surface produce a flux of ...

Single‐cell insights into the role of T cells in B‐cell malignancies

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Single‐cell technologies have transformed our understanding of T cell–tumor cell interactions in B‐cell malignancies, revealing new T‐cell subsets, functional states, and immune evasion mechanisms. This Review synthesizes these findings, highlighting the roles of T cells in pathogenesis, progression, and therapy response, and underscoring their ...

Right-handed neutrino pair production via second-generation leptoquarks

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2023
No direct experimental constraints exist on Leptoquark (LQ) couplings with quarks and right-handed neutrinos (RHNs). If a LQ dominantly couples to RHNs, it can leave unique signatures at the LHC.

Resolving the degeneracy in single Higgs production with Higgs pair production

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2016
The Higgs boson production can be affected by several anomalous couplings, e.g. ct and cg anomalous couplings. Precise measurement of gg→h production yields two degenerate parameter spaces of ct and cg; one parameter space exhibits the SM limit while the

Flow‐based immunomagnetic enrichment of circulating tumor cells from diagnostic leukapheresis product

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The number of circulating tumor cells obtained from prostate cancer patients was increased approximately 5‐fold compared to regular CellSearch when processing 2 mL diagnostic leukapheresis material aliquots and increased by 44‐fold when processing 20 mL DLA aliquots using the flow enrichment target capture Halbach‐array.

Unlocking the potential of tumor‐derived DNA in urine for cancer detection: methodological challenges and opportunities

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urine is a rich source of biomarkers for cancer detection. Tumor‐derived material is released into the bloodstream and transported to the urine. Urine can easily be collected from individuals, allowing non‐invasive cancer detection. This review discusses the rationale behind urine‐based cancer detection and its potential for cancer diagnostics ...
