W pair production by Z0 pair fusion

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1987
Abstract Using the effective gauge boson approximation we calculate the invariant mass distribution and longitudinal polarization fraction for the production of W + W − pairs by Z 0 pair fusion at a collider energy of 40 TeV. The mass distribution is compared with the case where the production is by W + W − pair fusion.

An intracellular transporter mitigates the CO2‐induced decline in iron content in Arabidopsis shoots

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study identifies a gene encoding a transmembrane protein, MIC, which contributes to the reduction of shoot Fe content observed in plants under elevated CO2. MIC is a putative Fe transporter localized to the Golgi and endosomal compartments. Its post‐translational regulation in roots may represent a potential target for improving plant nutrition ...

Quark pair production in high energy pA collisions: General features

open access: yes, 2006
A consistent treatment of both multiple scattering and small x quantum evolution effects on pair production in high energy pA collisions is feasible in the framework of the Color Glass Condensate (hep-ph/0402257). We first discuss the properties of quark

Top pair production at ATLAS

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2013
An overview of latest ATLAS measurements of top pair (tt̅) production in proton-proton collisions at the LHC at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV is presented.

A Cre‐dependent lentiviral vector for neuron subtype‐specific expression of large proteins

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We designed a versatile and modular lentivector comprising a Cre‐dependent switch and self‐cleaving 2A peptide and tested it for co‐expression of GFP and a 2.8 kb gene of interest (GOI) in mouse cortical parvalbumin (PV+) interneurons and midbrain dopamine (TH+) neurons.

Differential top-quark pair production measurements

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2014
The large number of top quarks produced at the CERN Large Hadron Collider makes it possible to measure the top-quark pair production cross-section differentially with respect to different observables. Differential measurements are important for precision

LIGHT LEPTOQUARKS AND HIGGS PAIR PRODUCTION

open access: yesProceedings of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, 2016
The data collected by the LHC experiments at 7 and 8 TeV with ~5 and 20fb-1 respectively is refining the details of the Higgs like resonances found last year [1,2].

Hematopoietic (stem) cells—The elixir of life?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The aging of HSCs (hematopoietic stem cells) and the blood system leads to the decline of other organs. Rejuvenating aged HSCs improves the function of the blood system, slowing the aging of the heart, kidney, brain, and liver, and the occurrence of age‐related diseases.

Single and pair production of heavy leptons in $E_6$ model

open access: yes, 2006
We investigate the single and pair production of new heavy leptons via string inspired $E_{6}$ model at future linear colliders. Signal and corresponding backgrounds for these leptons are studied.

Pair production of neutralinos via gluon-gluon collisions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The production of a neutralino pair via gluon-gluon fusion is studied in the minimal supersymmetric model(MSSM) at proton-proton colliders. The numerical analysis of their production rates are carried out in the mSUGRA scenario.
