Upper-bound for the Pairwise Error Probability of Space-time Codes in Physical Channel Scenarios

2005 Australian Communications Theory Workshop, 2006
In this paper, we derive an upper-bound for the pair-wise error probability of space-time codes which captures the effects of the transmitter and the receiver antenna configurations (antenna separation and antenna geometry) and the surrounding scattering distributions at the transmitter and the receiver antenna arrays.

The Pairwise Error Probability and Precoder Design for Amplify-And-Forward Half-Duplex Cooperative System

1st IEEE International Workshop on Computational Advances in Multi-Sensor Adaptive Processing, 2005., 2006
In this paper, we derive the exact asymptotic pairwise error probability (PEP) of an AF half-duplex cooperative system in which the maximum likelihood detector is used. Based on our analysis and observations, we propose a unitary precoder design to improve the system performance.

Exact pairwise error probability of distributed space-time coding in wireless relays networks

2007 International Symposium on Communications and Information Technologies, 2007
In this paper, we analyze the pairwise error probability (PEP) of distributed space-time codes employing Alamouti scheme. We restrict our attention to the space-time code construction for Protocol III in the work of Nabar et al. (2004). In particular, we derive two exact closed-form expressions for PEP when the relay is either close to the source or ...

Pairwise Error Probability of Distributed Space–Time Coding Employing Alamouti Scheme in Wireless Relays Networks

Wireless Personal Communications, 2008
In this paper, we analyze the pairwise error probability (PEP) of distributed space–time codes, in which the source and the relay generate Alamouti space–time code in a distributed fashion. We restrict our attention to the space–time code construction for Protocol III in Nabar et al. (IEEE Journal on Selected Areas Communications 22(6): 1099–1109, 2004)

Performance analysis of the pairwise error probability of space-time coding over correlated Rayleigh-fading channels

2010 International Conference on Wireless Communications & Signal Processing (WCSP), 2010
In MIMO communication systems, the channel correlation has influence on the pairwise error probability of space-time coding, and the channel correlation matrix can be modeled as the Kronecker product of the temporal correlation matrix and the spatial correlation matrix.

On the Pairwise Error Probability of Linear Programming Decoding on Independent Rayleigh Flat-Fading Channels

IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2009
In this paper, we consider the pairwise error probability (PEP) of a linear programming (LP) decoder for a general binary linear code as formulated by Feldman et al. (IEEE Trans. Inf. Theory, Mar. 2005) on an independent (or memoryless) Rayleigh flat-fading channel with coherent detection and perfect channel state information (CSI) at the receiver. Let

Pairwise codeword error probability for coded free-space optical communication through atmospheric turbulence channels

ICC 2001. IEEE International Conference on Communications. Conference Record (Cat. No.01CH37240), 2002
In free-space optical communication links using intensity modulation/direct detection (IM/DD), atmospheric turbulence can cause signal fading. Error-control codes can help to mitigate this fading and improve system performance. To study the performance of various coding schemes, we derive an upper bound on the pairwise codeword error probability for ...
