The Megalopolis Basin is located in the central Peloponnese (Greece), a region that is situated along one of the primary Pleistocene biogeographical corridors for intracontinental hominin migration. The Western Basin of the North Gulf of Evia rift is a complex, normal fault‐controlled basin. In this study we develop the first pre‐Holocene syn‐kinematic age model here and apply it to better understand rift evolution, basin control, and timing of fault migration in the active rift.
