Fault Migration and Basin Evolution During Complex Rifting: Examples From the Western North Gulf of Evia, Greece

The Western Basin of the North Gulf of Evia rift is a complex, normal fault‐controlled basin. In this study we develop the first pre‐Holocene syn‐kinematic age model here and apply it to better understand rift evolution, basin control, and timing of fault migration in the active rift.

Fossil freshwater fishes from the Pliocene of northern Colombia and the palaeogeography of northern South America

Abstract Freshwater fishes from the northwestern Colombian Andes are reported from the Pliocene Sincelejo and Ware formations. A total of 10 taxa have been identified, involving two orders, five families and nine genera. Characters from dental morphology, fin spines and cranial bones are provided as taxonomic tools for the study of fossil fishes.

Micro‐CT informed cranial anatomy of the early rhynchosaur Howesia browni, with implications for rhynchosaur skull evolution

Abstract Rhynchosaurs are unusual archosauromorph reptiles that lived between the Induan and early Norian (Early to early Late Triassic). They are characterized by their stocky build and broad skull with a beak‐like premaxilla. This rather charismatic configuration is most clearly expressed in Late Triassic hyperodapedontine rhynchosaurids.
