Beyond ENSO: Temperature, Rainfall Variability and Emerging Climate Risks in Belize
This study analyses 50 years (1975–2024) of Belize's climate data to evaluate ENSO's influence. Results show negligible ENSO impact on rainfall but a moderate signal in nighttime dry‐season temperatures, with El Niño years 0.5°C–1.0°C warmer than La Niña years.

The results reveal that thermal stress varies substantially across the four AP regions, with winter cold stress in Region I, year‐round heat stress in Region II, pronounced summer heat stress in Region III, and persistent strong to very strong heat stress from late spring to early autumn in Region IV.

PALEOCEANOGRAPHY, RECORDS | Postglacial North Pacific
Postglacial North Pacific paleoceanography is dominated by the ENSO system, which can acquire for centuries to thousands of years an El Niño-like or a La Niña-like dominant state.

Using 24 years of climate and hydrological data, this study quantifies the spatiotemporal complementarity among the water availability of the Sobradinho reservoir, wind and solar in Northeastern Brazil. The integration of hierarchical clustering and compromise programming reveals how seasonal variability and reservoir dynamics interact with atmospheric

How Thunderstorms Are Changing in Mexico: Trends and Characteristics
Thunderstorm days in Mexico have increased significantly since 1992, with pronounced regional and seasonal contrasts. Increasing moisture emerges as the most spatially coherent environmental signal. At the same time, enhanced instability characterizes northeastern and central Mexico, revealing distinct regional controls on thunderstorm activity and ...

Persistent SEUS summer rainfall occurs within multiple recurrent circulation configurations that organize moisture convergence differently. Distinct combinations of NASH‐flank pressure anomalies, boundary moisture transport and vertical ascent can therefore support a similar regional wet state, highlighting multiple circulation–moisture pathways to ...
