The Read Shell Midden, 15Btl0, located in the Western Coal Fields of Kentucky is an Archaic seasonal camp and mortuary site. Btl0 was completely excavated from 1937 to 1939 under the auspices of the Works Projects Administration (WPA) and over 240 burials were identified at the site.
