open access: yes, 1996
A paleomagnetic and rockmagnetic study was carried out on rocks from 33 volcanic and 12 sedimentary sites of Serravalian/Tortonian to Pliocene/Quaternary age in the internal zone of the eastern Betic Cordillera. After comparing paleomagnetic results with the expected Pliocene/Miocene direction, rotated and unrotated areas could be recognized, rotations

open access: yes, 2023
Speleothems are considered ideal archives for recording variations in the Earth's magnetic field, as the magnetic particles are deposited according to the direction of the magnetic field and are quickly encapsulated in the calcite matrix, unaffected by post-depositional processes.

El paleomagnetismo como indicador de paleotemperaturas. Aplicación a las Cordilleras Béticas

open access: yes, 1996
Previous palaeomagnetic studies performed in the Western Internal Subbetics revealed the presence of a widespread neogene remagnetization in these units. In this work we analyze the hypothesis of a thermoviscous remagnetization to explain this phenomena. We use the palaeomagnetic data to obtain palaeotemperature information.
