Gleization and paleosoils in Devonian red rocks of the Middle Timan region

Lithology and Mineral Resources, 2014
Study of the lithological features of Devonian red rocks in the Middle Timan region and paleopedogenic complexes therein coupled with analysis of the localization of buried plant remains and gleization zones made it possible to reconstruct onthogenesis of the sedimentary sequence.

Estimation of the Total and Active Microbial Biomasses in Buried Subkurgan Paleosoils of Different Age

Microbiology, 2004
Microorganisms that were isolated from steppe soils buried below kurgans from 5800 to 750 years ago were analyzed for the completeness of isolation, total biomass (the sum of glucose-reactivated and resting microbial cells), and active biomass (metabolically active cells).

A revision concerning the paleoenvironmental and paleoclimatic significance of the paleosoils

2007
The majority of paleosols are described from continental deposits, most commonly from alluvial strata. In these continental records to much little is revealed of conditions between events of sedimentation. In alluvial sedimentary environments, a record of these conditions is not lost and gone forever. They may be interpreted from fossil soils formed on

Evaluating paleoclimate-paleosoil linkages and soil ecosystem services with a combined soil-climate model

2020
<p>Loess deposits often contain paleosols that are documenting phases of soil formation associated with interglacials or interstadials. Linkage of the paleosols to paleoclimates is not straightforward when paleoclimates are represented by dynamic (simulated) variables and paleosols by static (measured) soil parameters.

[Estimation of the total and active microbial biomass in burial mound paleosoils of a different age].

Mikrobiologiia, 2005
Microorganisms that were isolated from steppe soils buried below kurgans from 5800 to 750 years ago were analyzed for the completeness of isolation, total biomass (the sum of glucose-reactivated and resting microbial cells), and active biomass (metabolically active cells).

Signs of paleosoil formation in bashkirian carbonate rocks of volga-ural region

2018
© SGEM 2018. Fragments of ferruginous brecciated limestones were studied in Bashkirian geological cross-sections in central part of Volga-Ural sedimentary basin. It is established that ferruginization of carbonate rocks is not controlled by facies.
