Sandy loess deposits in the Fläming ridge (Brandenburg, Germany) were analysed with respect to their composition, depositional age and distribution in the landscape. They most likely originate in the lowlands to the north and were deposited during the late MIS 2 (19–14 ka), in analogy to loess deposits found further west and south.
