ABSTRACT Rationale Edaravone (EDA) is a radical scavenger and an antioxidant drug approved to treat amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and used as a research tool to explore treatment of neurodegenerative diseases and cancers. It is also a reactive agent, known as PMP (1‐phenyl‐3‐methyl‐5‐pyrazolone), used for the analysis of polysaccharides composition ...

ABSTRACT Escherichia coli accumulates acetate as a byproduct in fast growth aerobic conditions when using glucose as carbon source. This phenomenon, known as overflow metabolism, has negative impacts on cell growth and protein expression, also causes carbon loss during biosynthesis in most microbial production scenarios. In this study, we regarded the “

RPAD locus controls prostrate growth habit in Oryza nivara
Abstract The development of ideal plant architecture is crucial for optimizing grain yield in crop breeding. The transition from prostrate growth habit in wild rice to erect growth habit in cultivated rice is one of the important events during rice domestication.

Genome editing in maize and sorghum: A comprehensive review of CRISPR/Cas9 and emerging technologies
Abstract The increasing changes in the climate patterns across the globe have deeply affected food systems where unparalleled and unmatched challenges are created. This jeopardizes food security due to an ever‐increasing population. The extreme efficiency of C4 crops as compared to C3 crops makes them incredibly significant in securing food safety.

On Palindromic Sequence Automata and Applications
International Conference on Implementation and Application of Automata, 2013In this paper, we present a novel weighted finite automata called PSA (Palindromic Subsequence Automata) that is a compact representation of all the palindromic subsequences of a string. Then we use PSA to solve the LCPS (Longest Common Palindromic Subsequence) problem. Our automata based algorithms are efficient both in theory and in practice.

Characterization and analysis of biphalin: an opioid peptide with a palindromic sequence
The Journal of Peptide Research, 2001Abstract:Among the many opioid peptides developed to date as nonaddictive analgesics, biphalin has exhibited extraordinary high potency and many other desirable characteristics. Biphalin is an octapeptide consisting of two monomers of a modified enkephalin, attached via a hydrazine bridge, and with the amino acids assembled in a palindromic sequence ...
