Pseudo‐Observation Approach for Length‐Biased Cox Proportional Hazards Model

open access: yesBiometrical Journal, Volume 67, Issue 6, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Pseudo‐observations are used to estimate the expectation of a function of interest in a population when survival data are incomplete due to censoring or truncation. Length‐biased sampling is a special case of a left‐truncation model, in which the truncation variable follows a uniform distribution.

Spin Susceptibility of Interacting Two-dimensional Electrons with Anisotropic Effective Mass

open access: yes, 2007
We report measurements of the spin susceptibility in dilute (rs up to 10) AlAs two-dimensional (2D) electrons occupying a single conduction-band valley with an anisotropic in-plane Fermi contour, characterized by longitudinal and transverse effective ...

Revisiting the taxonomy and nomenclature of Phyla, a small genus of Verbenaceae

open access: yesNordic Journal of Botany, Volume 2025, Issue 12, December 2025.
Phyla is unique within Verbenaceae due to the presence of malpighiaceous hairs. Its taxonomy has long been marked by difficulties in defining species boundaries. The most recent revision of the genus recognized five species and three varieties. In this study, however, we recognize only two species and no varieties: P.

Activity‐dependent transit dose assessment in 192Ir high‐dose‐rate brachytherapy surface applicator using GafChromicTM EBT4 film

open access: yesPrecision Radiation Oncology, Volume 9, Issue 4, Page 242-250, December 2025.
Dose distribution on an example film irradiated by the high‐dose rate brachytherapy 192Ir source of 9.543 Ci (38,840 U) with 100‐s nominal dwell time. The film‐measured dose map and the vertical and horizontal dose profiles across the center are illustrated.

Neutrino CP violating parameters from nontrivial quark-lepton correlation: a S3xGUT model

open access: yes, 2007
We investigate the prediction on the lepton phases in theories with a non trivial correlation between quark (CKM) and lepton (PMNS) mixing matrices. We show that the actual evidence, under the only assumption that the correlation matrix $V^M$ product of $

Cyp2e1 deletion in mice increases sensitivity to ethanol‐induced motor impairment and escalation of drinking behavior in the chronic intermittent ethanol model

open access: yesAlcohol, Clinical and Experimental Research, Volume 49, Issue 12, Page 2678-2694, December 2025.
This study investigates the impact of global Cyp2e1 knockout and wild‐type mice to explore the effect of altered ethanol metabolism on behavior and gene expression. Knockout mice demonstrated altered alcohol‐related pathways, increased ethanol sensitivity, and escalated drinking.
