Palynofacies Analysis and Hydrocarbon Generation Potential of Dokan and Gulneri Formations (Upper Cretaceous) from selected wells in Northern Iraqi Oil Fields [PDF]
Sixty five cutting samples from Dokan and Gulneri Formations in three subsurface sections from Khabbaz, Jambour and Taq-Taq oil fields at Northern Iraq have been selected to be studied optically and analytically from Palynofacies points of view.

Hydrocarbon‐derived thrombolites from the Outer Carpathians (Lower Cretaceous, Poland)
Abstract Shallow marine thrombolites from a newly discovered Lower Cretaceous cold seep in the Outer Carpathians (Poland) were analysed in order to untangle the complex sedimentological and biogeochemical processes involved in their formation and their diagenetic modifications.

Abstract The Jurassic/Cretaceous transition was characterized by several distinct palaeoenvironmental processes and events, amongst which some of the best known are the late Tithonian–early Berriasian aridization and the late Berriasian tectonic reactivation in the Neotethyan Collision Belt.

Evidence for Low‐Pressure Crustal Anatexis During the Northeast Atlantic Break‐Up
Abstract While basaltic volcanism is dominant during rifting and continental breakup, felsic magmatism may be a significant component of some rift margins. During International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) Expedition 396 on the continental margin of Norway, a graphite‐garnet‐cordierite bearing dacitic unit (the Mimir dacite) was recovered in two ...

Palynofacies and lacustrine sequence stratigraphy: a case example from the Jurassic Cañadón Asfalto Formation, Cañadón Asfalto Basin, Extra-Andean Patagonia, Argentina [PDF]
This study presents a detailed palynofacies analysis integrated with lacustrine sequence stratigraphy to evaluate the role of climate-driven hydrological balance on basin infill and its impact on the organic matter accumulation in the Jurassic Cañadón ...
