Palaeogene palynostratigraphy of Simla Hills

The Palaeogene succession of Simla Hills consists of Subathu, Dagshai and Kasauli formations in ascending order of stratigraphy. The palynostratigraphical information developed from the marine sequence of Subathu sediments throws light on the dating potential of the assemblages and also on the distributional pattern of various palynomorphs.

Palynostratigraphy in Phanerozoic and Precambrian Metamorphic Rocks

A review is presented on the current state of palynological research in metamorphic rocks. Recent studies have shown that organic-walled microfossils may be structurally preserved in rocks of the greenschist facies and even those of the lower amphibolite facies from where they can be separated by a special maceration procedure.

Lower Jurassic palynostratigraphy of Eastern Siberia

This paper presents the results of a palynological study of the natural outcrops of the Lower and Middle Jurassic on the Kelimyar River (Outcrops 5, 6, 7, 14, and 16) and two boreholes, Middle-Nakynskaya and Ygyata-Tyungskaya 1, in Eastern Siberia. The Ukugut, Tyung, Motorchuna, Suntar, Kyrin, and Kelimyar formations were studied.

Abstract Palynological studies of the Lower Toarcian Pozzale section of central Italy (Tethyan Realm, Mediterranean province) have revealed significant differences between palynomorph assemblages from the Boreal and Tethyan realms and marked similarities between the two bioprovinces of the Tethyan Realm (Mediterranean and Sub‐Mediterranean).

An investigation of spore-pollen assemblages from the Permian succession of the Stroud-Gloucester Trough, N.S.W., establishes that sedimentation began at the top of palynological zone Upper Stage 4 in the Dewrang Group. Deposition continued, without major break, through to the Gloucester Coal Measures, which are of lower Upper Stage 5 age.

The biostratigraphy on Imperial Adgo F-28 consists of palynostratigraphy and zonation by Dr. Geoffrey Norris and a micropaleontological analysis by Dr. W. Braun. One hundred and six micropaleontological slides and 77 micropaleontological preparations from well cuttings provided by the Geological Survey of Canada were examined in detail.

Jurassic Palynostratigraphy of Offshore Eastern Canada

Abstract The Scotian Shelf and Grand Banks, offshore southeastern Canada, cover approximately 175,000 square miles and extend over 850 miles from northeast to southwest. More than 100 exploratory wells drilled to date have encountered Lower Paleozoic to Recent sediments, which frequently contain rich and age diagnostic palynomorph assemblages.
