Palynostratigraphy, Imperial Adgo F-28

1977
The biostratigraphy on Imperial Adgo F-28 consists of palynostratigraphy and zonation by Dr. Geoffrey Norris and a micropaleontological analysis by Dr. W. Braun. One hundred and six micropaleontological slides and 77 micropaleontological preparations from well cuttings provided by the Geological Survey of Canada were examined in detail.

Palynostratigraphy of the Stroud-Gloucester Trough, N.S.W.

Alcheringa: An Australasian Journal of Palaeontology, 1987
An investigation of spore-pollen assemblages from the Permian succession of the Stroud-Gloucester Trough, N.S.W., establishes that sedimentation began at the top of palynological zone Upper Stage 4 in the Dewrang Group. Deposition continued, without major break, through to the Gloucester Coal Measures, which are of lower Upper Stage 5 age.

Jurassic Palynostratigraphy of Offshore Eastern Canada

1977
Abstract The Scotian Shelf and Grand Banks, offshore southeastern Canada, cover approximately 175,000 square miles and extend over 850 miles from northeast to southwest. More than 100 exploratory wells drilled to date have encountered Lower Paleozoic to Recent sediments, which frequently contain rich and age diagnostic palynomorph assemblages.

Palynostratigraphy of Oligocene-Miocene continental deposits in Southwestern Siberia

Stratigraphy and Geological Correlation, 2008
Data on spores, pollen, and dinoflagellate cysts studied in composite section of Oligocene-Miocene deposits in southern part of West Siberia are presented. Eleven biostratigraphic units distinguished in the section are ranked as palynozones and beds with palynological assemblages.

Upper Triassic–lowermost Jurassic palynology and palynostratigraphy: a review

Geological Society, London, Special Publications, 2010
Abstract This review advances understanding of the palynostratigraphy of the Late Triassic–Early Jurassic by correlating the established palynozonations for the northern and southern hemispheres. Previous palynological studies have contributed greatly to our understanding of the biostratigraphy, paleoclimatology and paleogeography of the ...

The fossil floras of Kachchh- IV. Tertiary palynostratigraphy

Journal of Palaeosciences, 1985
The palynological work so far done on the various Tertiary sediments of Kachchh has been reassessed and new information added. Many genera have been redefined and new genera, viz., Intrareticulites, Retitribrevicolporites, Dermatobrevicolporites, Triangulorites, Arengapollenites, Minutitricolporites, Acanthotricolpites, Angulocolporites ...

Palynostratigraphy of the murray basin, inland Southeastern Australia

Palynology, 1999
Abstract To date, the only published comprehensive zonation for dating and correlating late Tertiary non‐marine sequences in Australia is that developed in the 1970s for the offshore Gippsland Basin on the extreme southeastern margin of the continent.

Palynostratigraphy of upper cretaceous sediments, Meghalaya, northeastern India

Review of Palaeobotany and Palynology, 1990
Abstract Palynomorphs recovered from the Upper Cretaceous sequences exposed on the southern Shillong Plateau, Meghalaya, northeastern India, enable recognition of six successive assemblage zones. Taking into account foraminiferal evidence from Meghalaya and palynological correlation with sediments elsewhere in India, the sediments are dated as late ...

Permian palynostratigraphy of the Collie Basin, Western Australia

Review of Palaeobotany and Palynology, 1991
Abstract The Collie Coal Measures and the underlying glacigene Stockton Formation are Permian lithologic units in the small, intracratonic Collie Basin situated near the western margin of the Yilgarn Craton in Western Australia. Palynological data were obtained from a number of cored boreholes and opencut mines.
